The First Tennessee Development District (FTDD) is proud to announce the promotion of Mark Stevans to the role of Deputy Director. In this new position, Stevans will serve as the District's number two in leadership, continuing to oversee communications, special projects, and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, further advancing the District's mission to foster regional growth and development.

Stevans, who has been with FTDD since 2015, previously served as Director of Communications, Special Projects and WIOA. Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a commitment to enhancing the District’s outreach and program effectiveness. His experience managing diverse initiatives and his expertise in public engagement have played a critical role in the District’s growth.

"Mark has been an integral part of our team, consistently going above and beyond to support the goals of the District," said Mike Harrison, FTDD Executive Director. "His dedication, strategic vision, and passion for the region make him the perfect choice for this role. We are confident he will excel as Deputy Director and continue to drive the District's mission forward."

In his expanded role, Stevans will focus on supporting the Executive Director in guiding the overall operations of the District while maintaining his leadership over communications, special projects, and WIOA programs, which support workforce development and job training across the region.

"I’m honored to step into this new role and continue serving the region I care so deeply about," said Stevans. "I look forward to collaborating with our partners and communities to drive meaningful initiatives that improve the quality of life in Northeast Tennessee."
