Do you know someone making a difference in the lives of older adults in Northeast Tennessee?
The First Tennessee Development District (FTDD) is calling for nominations for the Kathy Whitaker Excellence in Aging Service Award—an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteers who go above and beyond for seniors in our communities.
For 46 years, Kathy Whitaker dedicated her career to serving older adults, spending 29 years as director of the First Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability (FTAAAD). Her unwavering passion for advocacy and service inspired this award, which honors individuals who embody that same spirit of volunteerism and commitment.
If you know someone who generously gives their time to organizations or programs that support older adults in Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties, now is the time to recognize their efforts!
Nomination Deadline: Monday, April 7, 2025
Award Presentation: Honoree to be celebrated at the FTAAAD Annual Conference on Aging on Tuesday, April 29, 2025
