The Executive Committee of the First Tennessee Development District Board of Directors will hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00 p.m.
The Executive Committee, which consists of county and city mayors from across the region will review the FTDD 2020 fiscal year audit, the financial Report, and consider appointments to the RPO executive board.
The Executive Committee will also receive updates from staff on the newly redesigned website, the planned regional wage and benefit survey, and an update on the Silver Alert Program and pending legislation pertinent to the Area Agency on Aging & Disability.
The Executive Committee will also elect a new board treasurer. Mayor Thomas Gregg of Mosheim currently serves in the role, and plans to step down from his position at the end of the month. Mayor Gregg has long been an advocate of his hometown, Mosheim, and his leadership and guidance have furthered projects that have had an enormous impact on the lives of the residents of Mosheim as well as Greene County. This includes vital infrastructure such as sewer and water extensions, in addition to planned developments at Exit 23 which will bring jobs to the area. "Mayor Gregg is such a well respected and experienced leader, I've valued his insight and level headed approach to issues that effect the region." said Chris Craig, FTDD Executive Director, "I know I can speak for the staff and the Board when I wish him well, and express a deep and heartfelt gratitude for his service to Mosheim and Northeast Tennessee."
