The First Tennessee Development District gathers and maintains demographic and economic data on the counties and communities in our 8 county region. This information is published in FACTS pocket sized booklet of statistics on the region, and in the City and County Economic Profiles. Economic Profiles are available for Bristol, Johnson City, Kingsport and for each of the 8 counties in our region by contacting the FTDD. Economic Profiles are available on-line at the FTDD level and the Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, TN/VA CSA level.Other publications include:
- Historical Data Profiles - Historical data on population, employment, retail sales, travel expenditures and housing construction activity by county.
- Four State Trade Area Survey - Population, labor force, retail sales, effective buying income and travel expenditure data for counties in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, western North Carolina and Southeast Kentucky.
- County Census Tract Profiles - County population, household, gender, race and median household income census data broken down to the census tract level.
